The Reflections Gala is a signature event of Bereaved Families of Ontario - Hamilton/Burlington and one of our largest fundraisers.  This year, the Gala took place at the Atrium Conference Centre in Burlington and guests were welcomed into a beautifully decorated ballroom accented by twinkling candlelight and classic music from some of our favourite crooners. Guests had the opportunity to build up their appetites by networking with other guests or shopping in our silent auction area. The dinner featured four delectable courses including two mouth watering meat choices; platters of striploin of beef au jus and grilled chicken with lemon chive sauce. Wow!

Three outstanding nominees for the Bay Area Community Bereavement Achievement Award were recognized at the Gala, each receiving plaques of recognition to symbolize their special contributions to supporting the bereaved in the Hamilton and Burlington community. We congratulate the winner, Julie Brooks, and the nominees, Denise Kidd and Louise Ormond for their awards.  2011 Award Winner Press Release (360 KB)

A special thank you to our event planning committee: Deb Tymstra, Alison Walsh, Lisa Hobbs, Rose Knight, our fabulous sponsors and the many dedicated volunteers who worked hard to make our Gala such a success. Your continued commitment and support has aided us in keeping our organization strong for over 23 years. Your contribution this year helped us raise over $21,000 that will be used to ensure that our “no fee for service” programs are available for the next bereaved family in need.
